Financial Controller Job Opening in Richmond, Virginia - We are looking for a candidate experienced in wholesale distribution involving a high volume of transactions, inventory costing and all functions of an accounting department.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Manage and supervise a staff of 3 in the accounting department
Reporting monthly Financial Information
Manage Monthly closing of books
Financial analysis and interpretation of data
Developing Budgets and forecasts
Tracking Budgeted Revenue and Expenses
Assist Parent company CFO and Controller in annual audit
Daily Cash management
Obtain and maintain an understanding of financial transactions posted to General Ledger
Develop and implement efficient processes to enhance work flow of department
Monitor and analyze department work
Special reporting request
Work with other department to gain understanding of financial results
Review and monitor inventory costs
Required Education ? BS in Accounting or Business with concentration in accounting
5-10 years experience
GAAP knowledge a plus
PC proficient
Strong experience in Excel and Word
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required
Salary commensurate with experience
