Hotel Sales Manager Job Opening in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware - We are seeking the ideal candidate to help position the hotel as a premiere meeting location. We are located in a resort community with the largest number of guest rooms and meeting space within the competitive area. This individual will be a creative and aggressive sales professional with a proven track record in the hospitality industry. They will possess the ability to meet a challenge with great perseverance and intellect. They will be skilled at relationship selling with exceptional skills in prospecting and booking new business. They must have acumen for making good business decisions based on booking parameters and revenue management strategies. The expectation is that this sales professional will be experienced, a self- starter and be skilled in negotiations. They will be given the autonomy to book business for the hotel and will be compensated accordingly when goals are exceeded.
Requirements
In addition to but not limited to the above summary, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
Candidate must possess 2 years of hotel or related sales experience
Soliciting new business using current database as well as individualized selling tactics
Maintain accurate records in Visual One
Responsible for market understanding as it pertains to competition
Conducting site inspections for new business and perspective new business
Travel to relevant Trade Shows and Sales Trips
Ability to multitask in a professional and efficient manner
Excellent skills in both written and verbal communications
High energy with organizational skills and the ability to work in team environment
