Precision Grinding Machine Operator Job Opening in Saint Louis, Missouri - Precision Grinding Machine Operator Our client, a manufacturer of specialty carbide inserts and products, currently has several openings for skilled machinists with at least 12 months experience setting up and running any or all of the following equipment: O.D. grinder, I.D. Grinder, Surface Grinder, Blanchard grinder, CNC grinding machine. Job Requirements: Hold .0001 to .0005 tolerances grinding carbide to precise specifications. Must be production oriented, capable of producing high volumes of parts with exceptional quality, working independently, with attention to detail. Design/build necessary fixtures and tooling. Accurately use appropriate measuring tools within .0001 to check part dimensions, including check for proper calibration. Instruments include micrometers, calipers, optical comparator, gauge blocks, and other standard gauging. Perform in-process and final inspection of finished parts. Possess good math and computer skills. Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, with knowledge of GD&T. Follow strict safety procedures in maintaining a neat and orderly workstation, performing preventative maintenance, and keeping machines lubricated. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Must be able to stand majority of shift.
