Business Intelligence Analyst Job Opening in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Job Summary: The Business Intelligence Analyst will be primarily responsible for working as a member of AccessMatters? Research, Evaluation, and Quality Management team to maintain and improve comprehensive data infrastructure and reporting capabilities and to work with the staff members to implement an overarching strategy for data collection, integration, management and analytics.
Essential Functions:
Data warehousing : Demonstrable knowledge of data warehousing concepts such as Dimensional Modeling, Slowly Changing Dimensions, etc.
ETL : Demonstrable advanced knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), data migration concepts, data profiling and cleansing, and implementing complex script tasks via visual studio and c#. Experience working with variety of data sources and targets including but not limited to: Flat files, Excel, ADO NET, ODBC, and OLE DB.
Reporting : Experience working with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), report browser deployment and maintenance, and creating complex parameterized reports.
DB Admin : Experience performing variety of DB Admin tasks / performance optimization / indexing / table constraints and manage user permissions and DB security.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic knowledge of project management and related tools.
Good knowledge of HIPAA security and privacy guidelines.
Ability to create detailed work-related documentation, operations documents and change managements plans.
Experience working with Medical and Public Health records, and different EMR systems is highly preferable.
Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as RDS, VPC, EC2, Security Groups, etc., preferred.
Experience working with Postgresql, preferred.
Knowledge of Python/Django, preferred.
Knowledge of Javascript/jQuery, preferred.
Knowledge of Git concepts and terms, preferred.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor?s degree preferred; computer science or related degree preferred.
8-10 years of Business intelligence/Data Warehousing experience, preferably in healthcare environment.
Certifications or proficiency in appropriate Business intelligence/Data Warehousing technology or subject domain.
