Executive Director of Operations Job Opening in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania - About Us Urology Health Specialists, LLC (Urology Health) was formed in 2006 as a result of a merger between three Philadelphia area urology practices (Abington Urology, Meadowbrook Urologic Associates and MacKinney, Kohler & Kelsey). Today, Urology Health has expanded to 16 locations in Philadelphia and surrounding counties, and includes two JCAHO accredited Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC), a JCAHO accredited Pathology Lab, and an ACR accredited Prostate Cancer Center. With 37 urologists, pathologists, radiation oncologists and nurse practitioners, we provide a full service approach to the treatment of urologic conditions.
Essential Functions of the Job
Under the general supervision of the President/Board of Physicians, this individual is responsible for all administrative, daily practice operations, federal and state regulated compliance mandates, financial functions, personnel, clerical, clinical, operational and business functions, and policies and procedures. He/She will monitor the activities of all operational components to ensure the practice successfully meets its objectives. Keeps the physicians/board of physicians advised and seeks consent from them to coordinate and manage the activities of the practice.
Specific Duties
Oversight and day-to-day management of all Corporate Management and Division Management
Evaluating and managing all support departments, ensuring sound operational performance, strategic planning and guiding the practice
Maintain and develop innovation strategies in the areas of service excellence, patient safety, clinical quality, and administrative efficiency
Assist physician leaders in developing and implementing the clinic?s strategic long- and short- range goals and business plan.
Work closely with physician leaders and Controller in forecasting and preparing annual budget and financial statements
Identifies decisions that can be made alone and which need consultation with others and makes timely decisions, minimizing emotional and impulsive decisions and crisis management.
Builds strong working relationships with system services and peer in other markets to leverage skill and scale of the organization

This job requires a Bachelor?s Degree, preferably in healthcare administration, business or similar. Experience as a medical practice administrator preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, use of good judgement, high-degree of initiative, and decision-making skills required. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with urology practices preferred.
Working
Frequent same day travel to different local offices/hospitals using a personal vehicle
Occasional over-night travel to attend seminars and conferences
Frequent mobility and/or sitting for extended periods of time which could include bending, lifting, and stooping. Full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity to operate keyboard and other office equipment.
Work requires a strong command of the English language
