Inside Sales Support Job Opening in Portland, Oregon - Steviva Ingredients is a leading manufacturer of all natural sweetening solutions, geared for food manufacturers and consumers. Begun more than 15 years ago, specializing in stevia, the company has grown over time to include a comprehensive portfolio of healthy and natural sweetening solutions perfect for manufacturers looking to replace unhealthy ingredients in their products. The burgeoning demand for manufacturers to replace unhealthy sweeteners in their recipes has positioned us as the go-to solution for today?s market.
2017 saw the launch of an initiative to further expand our reach and increase sales. The resultant growth has created a need for a new position that will work to support servicing new orders and clients, as well as the sales team?s overall efforts.
We are NOT looking for a data entry type person. We use a consultancy style approach to sales, with every aspect of what we do driven by our desire to strengthen our relationship with each of our clients. We have a high level of personal engagement with all of them. What we hear from our clients over and over is how uniquely personal our interactions are, and how much we stand out from other businesses in the excellent service we provide at all levels.
You will be well supported, as we work to bring you up to speed on product knowledge and about our unique high-touch approach to service.

You will be involved in all aspects of servicing ingredient orders, from order entry, arranging freight, interacting with the production crew to ensure availability of product and with taking full and complete ownership on getting our best quality products into the happy hands of our clients. You will be interacting with our clients via email and phone, and will be expected to write personable, professional email correspondence.

In addition to your genuinely positive attitude, we are looking for the following skills and experience:
MUST be personable, and truly enjoy interacting with clients and colleagues, both on the phone and via email.
Must be very comfortable writing at a professional level. Expressiveness, personality and professional tone a must.
Great communicator, both spoken and written.
Comfortable with software, and with learning new software. Quickbooks experience is a plus but we can train. Microsoft office suite is required, with at least basic comfort level with Excel.
MUST be great with detail and have real thoroughness in your work.
Driven by a need to make the most of your day, so you approach work with an idea to systematize and automate wherever possible, freeing you up for next-level thinking and work.
Enjoy a collaborative environment and would seek to contribute your ideas and inspirations in support of our company?s continued growth.
You will need to work independently, and must be VERY good at self-organizing, staying on task, creating your own deadlines and communicating with your team.
A college degree is not required. We are more interested in who you are and what you bring in terms of work experience and acquired skills.

This position is full time and will pay $17 an hour, depending upon your experience, with a review in 90 days. We offer benefits. We work Monday through Friday 8:30 - 5:00 pm. You must have reliable transportation and be able to commute to our location in industrial NW Portland.
*We will be moving from our NW Portland location to our new Gresham location in September
