Principal Engineer Job Opening in eugene, Oregon - Principal Engineer : 1. Responsible for leading in the research, design and development of Base Station Antennas as well as other support antennas for the cellular industry. 2. Capable of Antenna design working in multiple frequency bands; a. 700MHz to 6GHz b. LTE, GSM, CDMA, UMTS, GPS, GPRS, RFID 3. Design Multi-Band Diversity Antennas - including MIMO 4. Conduct integration debug, radiated system optimization and performance metrics and RF test measurement a. Network Analyzers b. Near and Far Field Antenna ranges i. Gain, Efficiency, pattern characteristics 5. Research novel antenna designs and new RF subsystem technologies 6. Constantly look to improve Antenna R&D tools, software and testing methods 7. Operate in a Project Team 8. Mentor Jr. Engineers and lead efforts for design Knowledge Skills: 1. A strong experience in: a. Antenna Design i. Maximizing RF performance ii. Building for low cost production b. Antenna CAD/simulation (i.e., /CST/HFSS, etc.) � Matching networks, Antenna Geometry c. Passive/Active Antenna/System Testing Experience i. Near and Far Field test systems (i..e, Satimo/ETS, NFS, etc.) d. Antenna Project Development and System Integration project management 2. Professional background in: a. Electromagnetic fields and Microwaves/Physics b. MS or PHD in Electrical Engineering preferred c. 10 or more years of relevant working experience � Experience in a leadership role within a cross-functional team � Excellent written and oral communication � Ability to work independently with motivation and self-direction Basic Qualifications: Masters or PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering � 10 years experience in Electrical Engineering Field � 5 years experience with antenna design eugene or oregon
