Finance Associate Job Opening in New York, New york - Position Summary:
Araca is seeking an enthusiastic Finance Associate for its bustling New York office. This entry level position requires an ambitious and innovative professional, meticulously organized and technically savvy in all realms of finance, but specifically Accounts Payable and Bank Reconciliation. Having a passion for theater, music, popular culture, and entertainment brands is a plus.
The Finance Associate will support the Finance team at the Araca Group and work closely with the Operations and Client Services teams. Duties will include entering and processing accounts payable for multiple entities, invoicing and receiving payments on receivables, allocating credit card expenses, monitoring cash balances, reconciling bank accounts and intercompany accounts and assisting in audit preparation. The Associate reports directly to the SVP of Finance.
Responsibilities include:
Entering/uploading invoices into our invoice management and accounting systems
Assisting with bank reconciliations for multiple domestic and foreign bank accounts
Assisting with inventory and intercompany reconciliations.
Supporting analysis and reconciliations during our month-end and quarter-end close as well as our annual audit.
Assisting in auditing and recording venue settlements from merchandise operations.
Required qualifications
Strong skills in Excel and QuickBooks
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Self-motivated and resourceful
Ability to multi task in a fast-paced and creative environment
Familiarity with Concur and Retail Pro a plus, along with the ability to quickly learn new systems
Manufacturing, production, and merchandising experience a plus
Familiarity with Broadway theatre and/or music industry a plus
Salary and Benefits
Salary: $37-$40K, commensurate with experience
