AVP of Operations Job Opening in New York, New york - Assistant Vice President of Operations
OneCity Health, a subsidiary of New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation (HHC), and NYC?s largest Performing Provider System (PPS), is currently seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Operations to provide strategic planning and oversight to all finance, reporting, and operations teams under the direction of the Chief Officer of Operations (COO).
OneCity Health will:
Expand access to primary and ambulatory care
Break down silos and integrate care across the continuum
Increase patient self-care ability
Close gaps in the continuum, especially in the delivery of behavioral health services and at transitions in care
Establish a new population-based data analytics and information-sharing platform to connect points of care among providers, community partners, and patients
Promote transparency and accountability among all providers
A core strategy to support NYC Health + Hospitals? transformation efforts is to transform OneCity Health into a managed services organization (MSO) and to create a new independent physician association (IPA). It is anticipated that OneCity Health would manage over one million member lives under capitated contracts, including a pool of uninsured members.
What the AVP of Operations does:
This role is responsible for ensuring adequate resource allocation for coordinated service delivery across all operational areas serving our internal stakeholders at OneCity Health, as well as support to our external, partner-facing project implementation and reporting teams which are key to the Delivery Systems Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) reimbursement.
The successful candidate will be a senior leader (experienced in managing direct reports in leadership roles) with a good understanding of financial modeling, use of financial data in strategic planning, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a demonstrated ability to provide effective communication to all levels of management and key stakeholders.
Education and Experience
MBA strongly preferred
Prior healthcare experience in MCOs or hospital finances not required, but preferred
Familiarity with financial reporting
8 ? 15 years? experience in Finance, Operations, or other related field
