New Hope Community, Inc., a Premiere Human Services Agency in the Hudson Valley supporting over 240 people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities in residential and other settings is currently seeking a Director of Corporate Compliance and Quality Improvement.
The Director of Corporate Compliance and Quality Improvement oversees the Corporate Compliance Program, functioning as an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization. The position ensures the Board of Directors, management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets the company?s Standards of Conduct. The Director of Corporate Compliance also oversees all functions of Quality Assurance and Improvement including Incident Management.
Some responsibilities include:
Develops, maintains, and revises policies and procedures for the general operation of the Quality Improvement and Compliance Program to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
Institutes and maintains an effective compliance communication program for the organization, including promoting (a) use of the Compliance Hotline; (b) heightened awareness of Standards of Conduct, and (c) understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures.
Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures. Develops and oversees a system for uniform handling of such violations.
Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
Requirements include:
A Bachelor?s degree required; Master?s desired.
A minimum of 5 years? experience in a healthcare organization, to include demonstrated leadership. Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations is a must.
Prior experience as a Corporate Compliance Officer or increasing responsibility in a Quality Assurance capacity is strongly preferred.
Proficiency in MS office programs
Valid NYS driver?s license
Completion of 8 day mandatory orientation
