Accounts payable clerk
* The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for all aspects of accounts payable. This person will prepare vender invoices for payment, process checks, match checks to invoices, file reconcile the general ledger and communicate with vendors and coworkers. This person will also be responsible for insuring all payments are properly approved and coded correctly. Qualified applicants must be detailed oriented.
It is expected that the following duties will be performed in a timely, accurate manner while following appropriate procedures and meeting standards of performance and deadlines. It is also expected that confidentiality of privileged information will be maintained at all times.
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation, general ledger coding and approval.
Sort and distribute invoices for approval.
Match vender invoices to purchase orders
Communication with Purchasing about invoices and purchase order discrepancies
Process expense reports for field service employees.
Enter payables into current accounting System Great Plains
Post account payable transactions to journals
Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
Process multiple weekly check runs including printing, matching invoices to checks and mail accordingly.
Respond to all vender inquires in a timely manner
Reconcile vender statements, research and correct discrepancies
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately
Setup new venders in the current accounting system, Great Plains.
Assist in month end close
Assist with other projects as needed.
