Senior Java Developer Job Opening in KANSAS CITY, Missouri - We are assisting a Kansas city area client in their search for 2 Senior Java Developers. A Senior Java Developer with Java, Spring, J2EE experience and a Senior Java Developer with Java, Spring, Python experience. This is direct hire.
As Senior Java Developer, you will provide leadership through knowledge sharing and mentoring, as well as influence the development of quality software and team health. The Senior Java Developer actively participates in designing & developing technical solutions to business requirements using best software development practices and standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive the implementation and adoption of established standards for software development.
Collaborate effectively with java developers.
Implementation & design reviews to provide feedback in ensuring code meets software standards.
Maintain and apply a working knowledge of Java, Spring, J2EE, Python, Mongo DB
Develop testable code to improve speed of delivery throughout the software development life cycle
Mentor and train junior developers in best practices
Active in software development continuous learning in java, Spring, J2EE, Python, Mongo DB
Education and Experience:
BS in Computer Science, Engineering discipline
5 Years+ of in an Agile development environment primarily using Java Or, equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in agile methodology, with a proven ability to breakdown business requirements/functional/non-functional requirements into testable high quality code
Experience working with Mongo DB
Experience mentoring and coaching junior developers
Required Skills:
Java
Spring
J2EE or Python
Working knowledge and understanding of version control system (Git, SVN)
Able to use a tracking system (Jira, VersionOne)
