Live Production Accounting Controller Job Opening in Springdale, Arkansas - This position will be responsible for managing the Live Production Accounting department along with all the activities relating to Pullets/Breeders, Hatcheries, Feed Mills, Broiler grow-out, Live Haul, Farm Services and Fleet for the Arkansas/Missouri operations division. In addition, this position will be responsible for supporting all positions related to Live Accounting and to identify and implement best practices for the department.

Key Responsibilities / Performance Requirements:
Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for Live Production.
Prepares audit schedules for both Internal and External audit requirements.
Prepares analyses of daily, weekly and monthly data and reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Works with department managers to prepare both capital and operating budgets.
Participates in monthly budget reviews by providing monthly and YTD budget analysis for decision making.
Works with Operations to complete ?Authorizations For Expenditures? and provide financial payback for pertinent projects.
Communicates results and findings to management on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis.
Backs up and supports each member of the team.
Must gain a thorough understanding of the accounting system and how the system works in the Live Production areas
Works with information systems and management to improve performance and reporting.
Communicates and interacts with direct team, peers, and executive management within the organization.
Participates on various teams and projects as opportunities arise.
Ensures proper reporting of inventories and fixed assets for all cost centers within the live production complex.
Ensures accounting activities are in compliance with accounting policies, accounting guidelines, governance policies, and internal controls.
Additional duties as required by supervisor.
Required Skills :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the poultry industry
Able to solve analytical accounting problems
Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, Dynamics AX or similar accounting software
Experience leading, coaching, and developing staff members
Ability to work well under pressure
Able to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form
Ability to meet deadlines
