Controller Job Opening in Gothenburg, Nebraska - The Controller is responsible for the accounting operations and cash management of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company?s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department?s goal and objectives.
Issue timely and complete financial statements to internal and external stakeholders.
Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.
Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts, and report actual performance to budget.
Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Manage activities in treasury functions to meet the financial obligations of the company.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:
Associate?s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college and technical school; and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
