Report Writer Job Opening in Phoenix, Arizona - Summary of Job: The Report Writer reports to the Director of Business Operations in the Central Business Office and is responsible for database support relating to the company?s compliance and contract management systems as it relates to Revenue Cycle Management.
Essential Job Functions
*Provides database support for clinical reports in both compliance and contract management systems
*Ensures report writing is optimized, runs efficient queries, and stores procedures
*Performs efficient T-SQL programming and SAP reporting outputs
*Performs SQL Server diagnostics and query performance optimization
*Maintains necessary indexes, keys, triggers, etc.
*Supports local and nationwide user calls with custom reports
*Performs efficient indexing, performance tuning and new process testing procedures
*Aids in new E.H.R. implementation (NextGen)
*Schedules nightly jobs and automated jobs via Microsoft Reporting Services
Job Specifications
Education & Experience
A Bachelor?s degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
Three (3) or more years relevant work experience in report writing or programming experience. Finance or healthcare organizational experience preferred
Reporting writing tool experience required, and willingness to learn new tools
H.R. experience required; NextGen experience preferred
Must have SQL and Crystal report writing experience in large data sets; data mining experience required
Efficient T-SQL programming and SAP reporting outputs, query optimization experience
Efficient indexing, performance tuning and new process testing procedures experience
Strong knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Reporting Services, creating and scheduling automated jobs from reports to nightly processes
Familiarity with MS products to publish report extracts such as ACCESS and EXCEL
Ability to professionally communicate with all levels of the organization; ability to communicate with peers regarding work processes
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
Proven practical experience in multi-tasking; high attention to detail, high percentage of accuracy in work
Interpersonal and critical thinking skills with a customer service focus
Must have proven ability to operate in stressful situations and to act appropriately under pressure.
Ability to handle sensitive information and confidential business matters

Working Conditions :
Works in an office environment and/or behavioral health clinic and may sometimes travel to meet the business needs.

Physical Requirements :
Works in a standard office environment with some exposure to hazardous situations.
Physical demands may include work close to the eyes and substantial motions of the wrist, hands and/or fingers.
Occasional sitting, standing, walking, handling, finger dexterity; eye-hand-foot coordination, use of corrected vision; color vision, use of auditory senses.
May be required to lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
