Summary:
MASS Group is a small but well-established, highly accomplished SaaS company that has for 15+ years provided CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) and MES (Manufacturing Execution Software) enterprise solutions to companies around the world. We are looking to hire an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to both maintain quality, and to assist with improving the overall quality and efficiency of the QA process. Will be working on site at the company?s Las Vegas office.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
The Quality Assurance Engineer?s primary responsibility is to ensure that QA procedures are adhered to throughout the entire development process in order to guarantee the quality and functionality of MASS Group?s software. Specific job responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:
Review bugs submitted from outside the development group to verify that there are enough details, that the bug exists, and how to reproduce it.
Working with Development and Technical Support at all stages to promote and ensure product quality;
Developing, executing, and maintaining test plans and test code for test systems;
Identify and make recommendations for eliminating problems or bottlenecks;
Writing verification test plans, test procedures, and testing reports against product requirements;
Product regression testing
Analyzing test results to identify bugs and their likely root causes;
If needed, taking the lead on conducting a more in-depth investigation of any bugs;
Making recommendations for design, process improvements, and data collection; and
Running cross platform testing (iOS, Android devices, Windows, multiple web browsers, etc.).
Work with and assist in training new additions to the Quality Assurance Group
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience creating test cases from verbal or written specifications;
Highly organized with willingness to improve overall organization;
Load, scalability, and software performance testing experience;
Testing automation experience
Experience with Issue and Bug Tracking software (Jira, Zephyr, Bugzilla, etc.)
Experience with relational databases (MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
Basic of
Ability to work in teams and independently;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Strong problem solving abilities; and
Mentoring or training experience.
Platforms and Environment:
Main product is a web application; full Microsoft stack ? Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, 4.5.2
Other products include locally running software, such as batch processing engines
Some products interface with hardware ? OPC, RFID, barcode scanners, etc.
