Sales Representative Job Opening in Bristol, Rhode island - Traffic Signs & Safety, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of MUTCD road traffic signs and supplier of highway safety equipment. Traffic Signs & Safety, Inc. sells to state and local municipalities, contractors, businesses and individuals.
We're seeking a Sales Representatives, offering a guaranteed base plus commission to prospect and generate sales.
Sales Representative Duties:
Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations.
Secure market level pricing feedback from customers and provide timely price
quotations and/or proposal.
Works with team members in the field.
Closes new accounts by answering the telephone, and e-mail inquiries; verifying and entering information.
Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment; communicating expected delivery date.
Develops accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features.
Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Sales Representative Skills and Qualifications:
Meeting sales goals, creating a client base, closing skills, prospecting skills, technical understanding, building relationships, people skills, data entry skills, customer focus, professionalism, motivation for sales.
Customer Service Skills: The customer is always right. Inside sales reps will need to be able speak in a friendly way to customers, listening to their needs and helping communicate options for them.
Communication Skills: sales reps speak to customers about various sign features, and answer any questions they might have.
Persistence: Not every customer is going to be a sale. Being able to bounce back if you lose a sale will be key for this job.
