Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper Job Opening in Midvale, Utah - The Pie is a locally owned and operated restaurant which is seeking a part-time, energetic, detail and team oriented, pro-active Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper w/excellent computer skills. The position will involve a wide variety of daily tasks. The hours are M-F 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and is located at our corporate headquarters in Midvale, UT. The Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper will have various daily accounting tasks and is expected to take ownership of their responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
Sort and distribute incoming mail.
Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.
Process check requests.
Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly.
1099/I-9 maintenance.
Respond to all vendor inquiries.
Enter new employee information into QuickBooks payroll software.
Code time sheets and enter data into QuickBooks payroll software.
Manage employee PTO data.
Maintain payroll personnel files.
Compile payroll data such as garnishments, insurance and retirement deductions.
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting practices.
Coordinate with managers to ensure drivers meet our insurance and driving requirements.
Manage Donation requests and fulfillment.
Phone & reception duties.
Assist with other projects as needed.
Qualifications:
QuickBooks experience required.
Ability to act professionally with others.
Ability to act professionally with confidential information.
Detail oriented, organized.
Dependable, responsible, honest.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Self-driven problem solver that focuses on finding appropriate solutions.
Willing to be a team player and follow established processes and procedures.
Proficient in Excel and Word, 10-key by touch.
Restaurant bookkeeping a plus.
Additional Information
Salary ranges from $11-$14/hr. DOE.
