We offer our clients sales training programs, sales management training programs and sales assessment tools and we?re currently looking for a high energy, consultative salesperson to join our sales team.
This position offers 6-figure on target earnings potential in year one with a healthy base salary commensurate with 5 years of consultative sales experience.
About The RVP of Sales Role
The primary purpose of the RVP role is to grow sales. That being said, there is much more to it than that.
The RVP of Sales is responsible for navigating a complex and crowded marketplace to introduce The Brooks Group?s sales training and hiring/development assessment solutions to self-generated and company-generated prospects to win new customers. The RVP is also responsible for growing existing accounts through proactive account management.
Our RVP?s are typically presenting to VP?s of Sales, VP?s of HR, Learning & Development leaders as well as Presidents and CEO?s. Comfort and experience operating at that level are crucial qualifications. An understanding of the complex sale is essential, as is the ability to navigate corporate decision-making dynamics to effectively differentiate yourself ? and the company ? from the competition.

About The Sales Training Industry

The right person for this role is someone who is comfortable operating at the C-level and who has a strong degree of business acumen.

Position requirements
Identify and pursue prospects in order to introduce The Brooks Group?s products and services to and drive revenue.
Articulate The Brooks Group?s Value Proposition effectively and persuasively to generate interest in the company?s offerings.
Regularly meet and exceed monthly and annual sales target.
Develop customized sales training, sales management training and sales assessment recommendations for prospects and customers.
Promptly follow up on all inbound leads.
Solicit referrals from existing customers in order to grow a book of business.
Proactively manage current account base in order to retain and grow accounts.
Follow up on all self-generated and company-generated contacts in an organized and effective fashion with sufficient frequency to move prospects through the sales funnel.
Exhibit all aspects of The Brooks Group?s client-facing sales training, sales management training and sales assessment practices in day-to-day selling efforts.
Update all information in consistently to ensure high quality and usable data.
Travel to client and prospect locations in order to win and/or support accounts.
Communicate client needs internally to ensure that client project goals are met.
Work with Instructional Designers, Facilitators, Talent Management Consultants and Project Managers as necessary to ensure client needs are met.
Attend regular sales meetings.
Debrief leadership on all open (and closed) sales opportunities.
Work closely with marketing to ensure all sales and marketing promotions are aligned and match the opportunities in the marketplace.
Be available for peer coaching and team selling as necessary.
Develop and improve upon call scripts, email scripts and other messages to uncover ways of opening up conversations with prospects.
Work alongside BDR?s to proactively introduce The Brooks Group?s solutions into industry-specific, US-based accounts.
Maintain expert knowledge of The Brooks Group?s products and marketing messaging to effectively and persuasively demonstrate the product and articulate the value proposition of The Brooks Group?s products in a clear and compelling way.
Develop and deliver sales presentations in both virtual and live settings.
Develop proposals and Letters of Agreement
Work closely with the marketing team in developing new ways to increase awareness of The Brooks Group?s products and to evolve and improve the lead qualification process.
Develop monthly and annual prospecting plans to ensure that sales goals are attained.
Must haves
5+ years of strategic sales experience.
A ?hunter? mentality - comfortable prospecting, warm calling, and promptly following up on leads
High level of urgency
Confident presentation skills, a comfort level with senior professionals and the communications skills to articulate The Brooks Group?s solutions to a wide range of organizational and functional levels.
Outstanding communication and listening skills.
Ability and willingness to learn, to react to and share lessons learned across the organization.
Good time management with strong organizational skills.
Understanding of training industry a HUGE plus.
