Web Developer Job Opening in Phoenix, Arizona - The Kim Komando Show is searching for a mid-level Web Developer rockstar! We?re looking to add an experienced, full-stack web applications developer to our growing team. Use your experience in user interface design, writing and testing PHP code, SQL queries, JavaScript, styles, and HTML code to build cool services for customers and visitors.
Position summary
We're offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced PHP developer to help us continue creating fun and creative products for our visitors and customers. The ideal candidate for this position will have a very strong work ethic, attention to detail and a positive attitude. If you have keen sense of PHP, implementation, a moderate to advanced proficiency with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, CSS, and git. Your day-to-day will involve short daily planning meetings, coding, designing, code reviews and continuous learning about upcoming technologies from experienced peers. You will work in all areas of design, development, and testing in a collaborative environment with helpful and friendly co-workers. You should be knowledgeable about programming, data structures, web servers, database integration and maintenance, as well as using git to manage software versions and changes. Projects range from applications to e-commerce as well as CMS enhancements and building email newsletters. New and exciting projects are perennially flowing into our queues to keep us on our toes and busy.
Principle Responsibilities
Programming using PHP to build and augment websites & other properties with MySQL databases
Build web applications that interact with internal and external APIs
Stay current on relevant technology that is or can be used for our applications
Work between various teams including Integration, QA, Operations and business to complete projects quickly
Perform other job-related duties as assigned or as they become apparent

Qualifications
The successful candidate will be a creative and self-directed professional with a strong consumer focus.
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or related degree or two (2) years of professional experience on commercial or open source projects
Two (2) years experiences in designing responsive interfaces for web-based applications & mobile apps as well as database development or related technical roles and responsibilities
Deep understanding of object-oriented programming methodologies
Experience with software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Web Development tools and frameworks, including:
2+ years using PHP5.6+/7
HTML5
JavaScript
Wordpress
MySQL
CSS preprocessing with SASS
AJAX, jQuery, jQuery UI
Git
Processor and Bandwidth optimization
Consuming RESTful interfaces
Understands and follows coding best practices for PHP, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
