Purchasing Accountant Job Opening in Hartford, Wisconsin - Role and Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for purchasing materials for highly engineered large capital equipment manufactured by AM-EX. The position requires the ability to read technical specifications and inhouse bill of materials. They will also solicit pricing on materials and help make large dollar purchasing decisions from both domestic and international suppliers. They will need to interface with production, engineering, quality and central office management. The position will require entering the purchasing transactions (Purchase Orders) and receipt billings in Quickbooks or an ERP system. Typical monthly transactions are less than 300.
Support the administrative staff including reporting to CFO and President
Support Production with purchase orders and pricing solicitations
Help arrange shipping both domestic and international for importing and exporting.
Help arrange crew travel and accommodations domestically and globally.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Previous experience necessary. This is not an entry level position. A minimum of a 2 year degree is required.
Preferred Skills
Computer software such as Quickbooks, Word, Excel and comfort with learning new software such as MRP Software. Ability to read technical documentation and follow procedures is also a plus.

AM-EX operates primarily in the international power industry.
