Sales Specialist Job Opening in Oakland, California - Global Specialties Direct Inc. is a well-established Specialty Subcontractor located in Oakland. We furnish and install specialty items for new construction projects throughout the Bay Area. We are looking for a Sales Specialist to call on existing accounts and expand our business through customer visitations on new accounts. The ideal candidate will have strong previous sales experience. Must be ambitious and sales driven with a focus on each individual sale and follow up for maximum success. Candidate will have good communication skills along with organizational and computer skills to maximize the amount of sales produced. The Sales Specialist will focus on calling on General Contractors in the commercial construction market to manage existing customer relationships and to obtain new customers. We will train the chosen candidate in the particulars of the business and supply the needed training and information required to carry out the tasks of the position. Requirements:
5 plus years of verifiable experience in successful selling
Strong ambition and eagerness to sell
Good organizational and follow up skills
Ability to manage time, prioritize and multitask
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook
Previous experience selling in the construction industry is a plus
Highly motivated, self-starter with a ?Can-Do? attitude
