Commercial Loan Officer Job Opening in syracuse, New York - Commercial Loan Officer Candidates with backgrounds in commercial lending (loan officers, underwriters, etc.) will excel at this position! The Senior Loan Reviewer will be responsible for analyzing and monitoring credit quality and loan exposure, identifying current and potential loan problems to minimize losses, maximize earnings, and preserve the capital of the institution. To do this, the Reviewer will: � Actively review and monitor a portfolio of loans to ensure compliance with policies and procedures � Validate the accuracy of individual risk ratings, and make recommendations to management for changes to the risk ratings � Communicate regularly with management regarding credit quality, including delinquencies, overdraft, required risk rating changes, etc. � Perform necessary pre and post reporting requirements � Provide assistance and guidance to other reviewers � Participate in travel to review loan portfolios of merger/acquisition candidates Skills Required: � Bachelor�s Degree in a business related curriculum or related work experience � 3-5 years previous commercial credit/loan experience � Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access � Strong analytical, accounting, and credit skills � Ability to analyze and understand financial data, collateral documentation, and other credit issues � Effective written and verbal communication skills � Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task � Working knowledge of AFS, prior commercial lending, sales, or workout experience preferred � Knowledge of Commercial Risk Management Techniques Don't let this great opportunity pass you by...
