Software Developer, External Developer Experience Team Job Opening in Framingham, Massachusetts - Vivox (Mercer Road Corp.) is the leading provider of voice chat for online games. We love games and we are passionate about using communication to make them more social, interactive, and fun. We partner with the best game publishers, including Ubisoft, Wargaming, Daybreak Games, Zenimax, CCP, and other top game publishers to deliver in-game chat to millions of players on PC, consoles, and mobile.
We are looking for a candidate to join the External Developer Experience Team that is responsible for making it easy for external developers, whether indie, mid-tier or AAA, to integrate their games into our Vivox platform. Applicants should have strong software development and technical writing skills, along with strong written communication and interpersonal skills, to help us evolve towards a quick and friction-less developer onboarding experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure that our game customers? developers can quickly and easily integrate Vivox technology with their game clients and game servers.
Develop sample game integrations on Unreal Engine 4.0 and Unity 5, and for web based games using WebRTC.
Port, and maintain, Unity and Unreal plugins to mobile and console platforms
Answer developer questions through our developer forum, and help drive our developer portal content forward with updated FAQ?s and knowledgebase articles
Use all customer experiences to drive product changes that make it easier for developers to integrate with Vivox quickly and easily.
Minimum Requirements:
3 or more years C++ development experience
Full SDLC experience
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
It?s an extra bonus if you are fluent in either Korean or Mandarin as our external developer network is global.
While preferred candidates will also have experience programming on the XBox One or PS4, either directly, or through a game programming platform (Unity/Unreal/etc), Vivox is willing to train the right candidate.
