Membership Sales Job Opening in Lansing, Michigan - I. Q. Fitness & Wellness Center, Inc., is an elite fitness program, seeking to expand our team with high quality team members! We are searching for high-energy, well spoken, and optimistic individuals who love to connect with people.
We are seeking to select the right person to be our Membership Specialist. Job duties include meeting with prospective IQFIT members, taking them through a Fitness Consultation. The consultation will consist of rapport building, goal planning, body comp testing, physical eval (a certified coach will assist you here), facility tour and presentation of options. It's really more of an interview of the prospective member than a sale meeting. Since IQFIT is an exclusive program, we have a careful process to ensure the prospective member is right for our program.
Highlights:
ZERO cold sales leads! You will NEVER have to call on random people and try to get their business. All leads are either warm or hot. We have an established marketing system that provides leads for you and our admin staff sets up the consultations for you. You simply come in and nail the Fitness Consultations. In 2016, we added 100 members to the gym and averaged an 80% sign up rate! Thus, the chances you close a sale are more than likely.
You will have a 40 hour (plus or minus) training program, which will be compensated. We have an entire system of how to run the meetings. Your previous experience in building rapport with people and skill in over-coming objections will come in handy. But, you will have an outline to follow and will be trained on the best ways to close a sale. In fact, we get professional coaching from one of the top fitness salesman in the nation, to be sure we are very successful in our methods.
You will be paid a base salary for all time at the gym facility, on top of getting a bonus for each member closed. Complete compensation details will only be discussed in person. The range is from $15,000 to $40,000 per year based on your skill and availability. Bonuses are also added on top of this compensation.
Actual working hours per week is between 10 and 20, so this position would be considered part time. If a candidate is willing to work more and was ambitious to take on more responsibility in order to earn even more, there are other options available for a later discussion.
Candidates who have a sales background are a plus, but not required. However, you must have a solid customer service background at the retail or corporate level. No special education or degree is required, however those with advanced training in sales and or customer service will be considered first.
