Senior Financial Accountant Job Opening in Des Moines, Iowa - We are working with an international financial services provider in their search for a Senior Financial Accountant . This is a brand new position and will provide high level exposure.
Responsibilities:
Oversees, monitors, and works to improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and database management
Audits work flow to ensure that all accounting transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with industry standards
Helps maintain accountability of the financial resources of the company
Ensures compliance with all internal controls
Trains staff on proper company procedures
Handles special projects as requested by management
Helps with preparation of the yearly audit
Stays current on changes in regulations and other industry news
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
3-7 years of experience in public accounting
Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills as well as strong attention to detail
Exceptional organizational skills and effective time management and multi-tasking abilities
Strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 /year
