Accounting Manager Job Opening in Berwick, Maine - Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, detail oriented accounting professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations in addition to analyzing and reporting financial data to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage all activities in QuickBooks
· Record customer payments
· Set up new carriers, manage online portals
· Process carrier & vendor payments
· Run AR and AP report weekly for CFO
· Perform audit of carrier invoices to verify correct charges for services
· Work with carriers to resolve discrepancies
· Review and process all payroll and commissions
· Operating budget management and reporting
· Forecasting ? monitor areas impacting targets
· Tax reconciliation and reporting
· Proactively provide strategic recommendations
Qualifications:
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision
· Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Superb follow up to inquiries
· Acts with sense of urgency to changing priorities and meeting deadlines
· Displays sensitivity to confidential information
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Business with 10+ years? work experience desired
Computer proficiency: Advanced QuickBooks, MS Office
