Brewery & Distillery Sales Representative Job Opening in Albany, Oregon - Deluxe Brewing and Sinister Distilling is looking for an Oregon-based sales representative to join our team!
POSITION SUMMARY
This sales representative position implements our strategic plan within the Oregon Market Area for the on premise and off-premise channels. You will be charged with increasing distribution and the visibility of our brands, grow top line volume, and be a great company ambassador while following our You will be expected to be the authority on product knowledge, brand positioning and programs in the marketplace. You will be charged with bringing our brand strategy to life at the point of connection with consumers. Candidate must be enthusiastic and passionate about the brewing and distilling industry!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Grow Top Line Sales and increase new points of distribution.
Plan, organize and execute daily sales calls to optimize sales goals, growth objectives and ultimately profit
Coordinate and support events (tastings and festivals) that generate brand awareness and consumer sampling, as well as new distribution to target accounts
Maintain and develop relationships with staff, management and owners at key on premise and off premise accounts
Work within the assigned promotion budget maximizing promotional activity
Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with distributor sales personnel
Educate consumers and wholesalers in the Oregon Market on our product lines
Travel within the state on a routine basis
Communicate with key personnel on a daily basis as it relates
Monitor upward or downward sales trends and communicate to Sales Director
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
Secure a set number of draft lines and bottle placements for the Deluxe and Sinister portfolio within the account base
Perform a set number of promotions per month (includes on premise bar promotions, beer festivals, special events, samplings, etc.)
SKILLS
Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge required
Presentation skills including the ability to conduct creative and informative presentations
Excellent business analytical skills
Sales management
Knowledge of company, state, federal regulations
Knowledge of US beer and spirits business and its practices
Action oriented
Training ability and motivator of people
Organizational and administrative skills
Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills - Ability to work with others in a positive and constructive manner
Time Management ? The ability to effectively budget time for daily responsibilities
Flexibility ? The ability and willingness to adapt to a changing plan and navigate around issues that may arise
Regularly lift/carry 30-40 lbs.
Occasionally lift 50-75 lbs.
Regularly walk, climb, balance, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Valid Driver?s License
OLCC Service Permit
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in sales
SALARY AND ADVANCEMENT
Salaries are based on experience and comparable to industry standard. A strong work ethic, integrity, outward thinking, team player, and a can-do attitude are expected.
