Description
Outside Sales personnel are responsible for maintaining and building additional business from existing customers, as well as cold calling on commercial accounts in the field to generate new permanent sales. The hours and level of responsibility may vary but generally range Monday through Friday, 8a ? 5p.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining a thorough knowledge of Charleston?s Rigging DBA Carolina's Rigging and Crane product line, services, and pricing structures; Determining customer needs and proposing appropriate product and service response; Insure the preparation and delivery of sales quotes and follow-up with key decision makers; Develop and maintain an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends, and respond accordingly; Regularly meet with Sales Manager to review sales activity, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers; Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Skills necessary to successful completion of the job will include presenting and communicating in a professional manner; Exhibiting verbal and written communication skill; Being organized with good time management skill; Being self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals.
Qualifications
Legally eligible to work in the United States
High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor?s degree in Marketing, Sales or related field preferred
Minimum 2 years outside sales experience
Good driving record, able to meet Charleston?s Rigging driving qualifications
Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
Work Conditions; Office environment and traveling to and from businesses; prolonged sitting in car or office; Job site or factory settings. Sales personnel are expected to adhere to all prescribed safety regulations while in the field.
