City Clerk Job Opening in Madison, Nebraska - The City Clerk is responsible for planning, directing, supervising and coordinating activities of the City Clerk's office which include maintaining the City's legislative history; preparing legislative agendas and minutes; attending/recording City Council meetings; administering the City's records management program; providing administrative and policy support for Council including coordination of all Council advisory bodies, local ordinances, and policies and procedures. Clerk also performs routine accounting and clerical work such as but not limited to: permits and licensing. The City Clerk serves under the direction of the Mayor and City Council and exercises supervision over assigned staff, interns, and volunteers.
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree highly recommended
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $14.00 to $19.00 /hour
Required education:

Required experience:
Administrative position in public service: 2 years
Required language:
English, - Spanish a plus
