Summary/Objective
Couristan, Inc., a global import and distribution Company in the flooring industry, which has been in business for over 90 years, located in Fort Lee, NJ seeks a Project Manager to oversee the order processing, mill relations, delivery schedules, payments, etc. for the custom handmade rug hospitality division.
Responsibilities:
Manage handmade area rugs in conjunction with sales team and designers.
Interface with accounting department to ensure timeliness of billing and collections for all projects.
Maintain a close relationship with mills overseas.
Proforma Invoicing for billing and collections
Work with designers, purchasing agents, and salesforce to understand design elements for accurate quotes on projects.
Find solutions to budget driven projects.
Negotiate pricing with mills to increase margin
Interface with Import Manager to keep the projects on track and ensure timely delivery of product to clients.
Calculate markups, duties, and prices.

Requirements:
5+ years? experience in textile and rug industry
Bachelor?s degree
Background in wholesale or distribution a strong plus
AS400 a plus
Logistics experience a plus
Proficiency in MS Office and intermediate Excel
Self-starter that is resourceful and can easily adapt to changing priorities
Travel
Limited Travel to Mills as necessary.
