The company is a leading Medicare Advantage organization providing healthcare-related services in Puerto Rico since 2001 and most recently entering the Medicaid market as well.
This organization operates a medical service organization, which coordinates care through a network of 27 independent physician associations and over 2,900 primary care physicians. Additionally, it operates two Medicare Advantage plans, the Island?s only NCQA-accredited health plans, which serve 200,000 members on the Island with a network of more than 7,500 providers.
Innovacare is seeking a Senior Financial/Business Analyst with previous 5 years? experience in corporate Finance with focus on financial projections and mergers and acquisitions. Individual will be a member of the Company?s finance team based in Fort Lee, NJ and be responsible for assisting in the identification, evaluation, negotiation and/or execution of transactions involving InnovaCare Health Services? business units. This position requires an individual who can work independently with strong problem solving and analytical skills, including financial modeling.

Job Summary
Individual will be a member of the Company?s finance team based in Fort Lee, NJ. The individual will be responsible for assisting in the identification, evaluation, negotiation and/or execution of transactions involving InnovaCare Health Services? business units
This position requires an individual who is capable of working independently with strong problem solving and analytical skills, including financial modeling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform industry and competitor research and analysis to assess the competitive environment as well as evaluate different business, operating and financial models
Work with senior management and finance staff to assess current capabilities, identify strategic opportunities, and determine requirements to drive business growth
Conduct financial and accounting analysis, i.e. develop detailed, 3-statement financial models, and assess financial trends including ROIs.
Perform comprehensive transaction impact analysis, i.e. return on invested capital, internal rate of return, net present value, and merger consequences analysis
Directly involved with the execution of strategic alliances and capital markets activities including, but not limited to, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and minority positions with management contracts, refinancing and equity raises
Actively participate in due diligence processes and investigation
Work with the finance team to develop short- and long-term financing strategies for potential transactions as well as assess impact on financial leverage and credit ratings
Maintain and develop financials models related to strategic opportunities
Traveling to divisions and/or potential acquisitions as required
Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance or related business major. MBA preferred
4 years related experience working with private equity and or banking
Knowledge of healthcare industry ? Health Plan, MSO, CMS, Federal regulations
Capable of building infrastructure on the side
Proactive style with the ability to interpret data and act quickly. Ability to interact with Senior Management
Problem solver with focus on providing, creating, effective Services. Ability to develop action plans and execute timely and effective resolution
Proficiency with a variety of computer software applications MS Office skills: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Great Plains or like type system
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation skills
Advanced knowledge and experience with Excel and financial accounting software
