JOB TITLE: COMPUTER/SOFTWARE ENGINEER
JOB SUMMARY:
Leading technology manufacturer is looking for a highly experienced and highly motivated, self-starting individual to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in developing and supporting distributed embedded firmware systems. Experience with remote data sensing and tracking applications is highly desirable.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor?s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
Embedded System design experience including digital and analog circuit design using micro-controller interfaces
Solid background in firmware design including strong experience with C/C++ programming languages
Programming for 8, 16 and 32 bit microprocessors for use in OEM systems and products
Work experience must include designing, developing, and troubleshooting software running on a deployed system
Ability to work and coordinate with other team members working on hardware and software development
Good people interaction, teamwork, oral and written communication skills
Familiarity with a wide variety of Micro-controllers & Microprocessors is desirable
Secondary Disciplines (a plus):
Embedded software solutions ? Freescale MCF52xx, STM Micro (various), ARM processors, Windows CE, Android
Knowledge of Java, JSON, XML
Experience with serial (RS232/RS485) and CAN (J1939, J1708, NMEA2000) protocols and/or FlexCAN, I2C, QSPI, QADC interfaces
Experience with any of the following: Iridium SBD Satellite Network Communications, u-blox M8 GNSS modules and protocol
Knowlege of GSM, GPRS, UTMS, 3GPP and HSPA+ communications
Experience with Bluetooth, IEEE 802.11, USB, Modbus, RFID
Experience with Mentor Graphics design tools, CodeWarrior IDE, Python Programming
PAY RATE: Commensurate with experience
