RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATIONSHIPS : Reporting to the Director of Business Solutions Development, the Systems Developer is a member of our application modernization team and will be responsible for the following:
Partner with Business Analysts and Project Managers to understand business needs and map to technical solutions.
Work closely with the Senior Systems Developers and Director of Business Solutions Development to design and develop business solutions.
Assess and understanding existing applications and processes within the enterprise and recommend approaches for modernization.
Document and present solutions, as well as, peer-review other teammates' solutions.
Collaborate with various members of the CIO Office team to implement solutions.
Continually audit and present ideas to improve DDRI's maturing SDLC methodology.
Collaborate with the CIO Office Leadership team to help drive innovation throughout the company.
Minimum of three years of experience reflecting abilities to develop and support mobile apps released onto the Apple App store and/or the Android market.
Demonstrated project experience with regard to SDLC; estimating, task-planning, coding, and deliverables.
Experience developing technical requirements based on business imperatives.
Communication skills; must be able to translate and communicate technology operational needs to non-technical colleagues in clear, understandable business language.
Innovative. The Systems Developer must stay on top of emerging technology trends.
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE : We are looking for a mobile app developer experienced developing apps with native languages, Objective-C, Xcode, and, Java, as well as, having development experience with the following technologies:
Swift
React Native
JavaScript frameworks (jQuery Mobile, Node, Angular)
HTML, JSON, and XML
RESTful APIs
Visual Studio TFS or thorough understanding of similar source control systems such as GiT
Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and proficiency in the following technologies:
Object Oriented Development and Services Oriented Architectures
Agile software development
HTML, CSS
XML
JQuery or JavaScript
Oracle PL/SQL
Microsoft SQL Server Database Engine, including T-SQL
Familiarity and experience in the following technologies is a plus:
Awareness of GoF Design Patterns
Software quality and testing procedures
log4Net or an equivalent logging facility
EDUCATION : Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or Management Information Systems. Exceptionally strong experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
