TITLE: Accountant - Accounts Payable Specialist
Responsibilities :
Ensure accurate allocation of all invoices
Controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
Processes invoices to utilize vendor early payment discounts
Weekly forecasts of expected expenses and invoices
Work with accounting team to ensure journal entries are recorded accurately in general ledger
Reconciles all credit card statements weekly and monthly
Provides input for reporting and month end close
Processes expense reports
Prepare and document processes related to the Accounts Payable function
Prepares and inputs payroll data into system to produce accurate payroll.
Ensures compliance with all state and federal wage and hour laws
Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports for manager review
Performs various journal entries, account reconciliations, budget analysis and provides general ledger support
Qualifications :
BA/BS in Accounting/Finance or related field.
1-3 years of previous accounts payable experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks.
High level of attention to detail.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to automate and improve process efficiency.
