Sales Manager Job Opening in Ogden, Utah - The Sales Manager will direct the sales and customer relations efforts of the team to meet and exceed our customer?s needs. The SM will direct/or coordinate all sales functions including customer service, new products, collections, administration and talent development in relation to commodity ingredients and custom mix/packaging sales. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales.
Core Responsibilities:
Manage all sales activities in accordance with policies, guidelines, and procedures established by the Vice President of Sales & Local Management team.
Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, developing sales programs to meet or exceed goals of the company. Determines product offering and pricing consistent with company strategies and financial expectations.
Remain informed of new training methods, techniques of competitors and pending introduction of new company products to determine training needs for the facility and commodity sales team
Develops and directs training plans for customer service reps., sales reps., and business account managers.
Develops with divisional team and implements procedures and practices, studies workflow, sequence of operations, and department structures to optimize facility efficiencies.
Assists in developing facility strategic plan, tactics, programs, policies, and procedures to optimize use of facilities, equipment and employees and achieve sales and profit growth as established with divisional team.
Reviews operating results of the branch, compares them to established objectives, and takes steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.
Maintains personal relationships with key/strategic accounts. Maintains a proactive, visible relationship with entire customer base.
Utilize business analytics to address gaps and strategies in the area of responsibility.
Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance team to ensure the customers experience is the highest quality interactions with the Honeyville brand.
Develop the sales team through ongoing coaching, one-on-one meetings and mentoring to ensure talent development and individual growth.
Monitors the bonus program to ascertain that all applicable reps are making efforts to ensure their maximum participation in key growth areas of the company.
Perform assignments and directives provided by the Vice President of Sales and Divisional Leadership team.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7+ years in sales preferably in food manufacturing and/or commodities sales.
Minimum of 3+ year in a leadership position
Strong leadership skills and talent development emphasis.
Continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing experience
Able to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate.
Written communication skills to be concise, well organized, complete, and clear.
Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
