Accounting Manager Job Opening in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania - McKonly & Asbury, founded in 1973, is one of Pennsylvania's most respected accounting and consulting firms. We are assisting one of our non-profit clients in the human services sector, which provides quality clothing to those in need and grant funding to partner charitable organizations in Central Pennsylvania. Our client is in search of an experienced Accounting Manager to work at their headquarters in the Mechanicsburg, PA area.
Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accounting Manager is responsible for month end close, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. This individual will also oversee the current bookkeeper and work alongside other departments on various projects.
One of most important qualifications for the successful candidate will be demonstrated experience working within non-profit environments, or private sector clients with retail operations. Our client is currently transitioning from QuickBooks to NetSuite, although direct experience in either is not required.
Our client requires a minimum of a four year degree in accounting or finance, with a minimum of three years experience in the accounting field. High level expertise in Excel, report writing tools, POS software and enterprise level accounting will be needed.
The client?s work environment is one where hard work and honest feedback amongst team members is the norm. While interaction takes places with co-workers, it is expected that this level of position will direct their own work efforts and those of their team without the need for significant oversight. While some intermittent travel to conferences, continuing education and client locations may be required, the large majority of the work week will be spent at the headquarters location.
