Nature of Position:
Reporting to the CFO, the Controller is an integral member of the HCCH Finance Department and is responsible for the organization?s financial statements, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, budgeting and various analyses.
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline, or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years? experience in accounting or related field.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Impeccable analytical and organizational skills.
Self-motivated and self-directed.
Ability to work closely with Senior Leadership.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the preparation of accurate month-end financial reports, with comparison of budget to actual, in a timely manner.
Oversees and directs the preparation of necessary documents required to complete the annual audit in a timely manner, including Form 990.
Prepares financials, cost reports, UDS and tax filings for CFO approval and submission.
Acts as a resource of financial information to Senior Leaders and managers.
Participates in the development of the annual budgeting and planning process.
Oversees and directs all general ledger accounting procedures to maintain a complete and accurate general ledger and all supporting sub-ledgers as scheduled.
Works closely with CFO to optimize cash flow through aggressive management of payables and receivables and other fund sources.
Reviews and approves all cash disbursements assuring proper management approval and required supporting documentation.
Manages vendor calls with timeliness and courteousness.
Supervises and directs payroll and accounts payable process and maintains responsible vendor relations.
Responsibility for accurate maintenance of records of all fixed assets and depreciation schedule.
Participates in designate Performance Improvement Programs and attends all meetings.
Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
