Description Multi-Franchised Dealership is seeking a professional Sales Manager to join our team.
JOB DUTIES-OTHERS MAY BE ASSIGNED
Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all vehicle sales employees.
Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect vehicle sales.
Directs and schedules the activities of all department employees, ensuring proper staffing at all times.
Assists individual salespeople in setting aggressive yet realistic monthly goals and objectives and provides them with the support to meet these goals.
Maintains an accurate daily log that reflects all sales activities in the dealership.
Ensures proper follow up of all potential buyers by developing, implementing, and monitoring a prospecting and sales control system.
Develops, implements, and monitors a follow-up system for vehicle purchasers.
Maintains teamwork in a customer-focused sales environment throughout the sales, delivery, and follow-up process.
Ensures that salespeople understand and follow dealership policies and procedures.
Provides proper product and training resources for salespeople on a regular and continuous basis.
Oversees the efforts of salespeople to enhance the image and customer satisfaction ratings of the dealership.
Develops incentive programs along with dealer and other managers.
Helps salespeople close deals when necessary.
Completes deal settlement sheets and turns into accounting office in a prompt and timely manner.
Establishes and maintains standards for the delivery of vehicles to customers.
Provides dealer with accurate floor traffic control data on a daily basis.
Reviews inventory daily to ensure the proper mix of grounded stock for maximum turnover efficiency.
Assists the used-vehicle department with trade appraisals as needed.
Attends managers meetings as requested.
Maintains professional appearance.
Job Requirements
Required Experience and skills
Past automotive dealership experience in Sales, Sales Management or Finance and Insurance
Strong leadership skills and the ability to train and develop team
A proven track record of world class customer satisfaction, employee development and retention, customer development and retention, marketing/customer acquisition
The ability to work in a fast-paced competitive environment
The capacity to achieve above average performance objectives by implementing and maintaining the standard practices and systems established by the dealer group
Knowledge of deal desking
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A high school diploma or equivalent
Valid In-state Driver?s license with an clean driving record
Managers are required to maintain the profitability of their department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Managers are required to not only understand and keep abreast of the federal, state, and local regulations that affect their operations, but must also comply with these regulations.
Management personnel require strong communication skills to deal with customers, employees and vendors, as they represent the dealership.
An automotive sales manager must be professional, courteous, organized and an expert in customer service. They should possess strong communication skills
Candidate should have the ability to lead a team and keep them motivated in their work.
Must possess the ability of meeting deadlines and achieving set goals.
Management is required to maintain the profitability of their department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Work closely and effectively with all department managers to achieve the ultimate goal of customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
Must pass criminal background check, drug test and have clean driving record.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient knowledge of dealership computer systems.
Record of teamwork and performance.
Professional appearance.
Previous industry knowledge of overall used vehicle operations.
