Clinical/Clerical Assistant Job Opening in Stratford, Connecticut - The Clinical/Clerical Assistant provides support systems and functions for the agency Manager. In cooperation with the Administrator, the Clinical/Clerical Assistant oversees policies, procedures, staff communication and various agency related activities.
The Clinical/Clerical Assistant maintains an on-going relationship with agency personnel.
This position may involve driving an automobile varied distances to attend seminars conferences and meetings. This position requires a high level of energy and physical endurance.
Job Duties:

Assist management and clinicians to ensure clients' care is delivered in a timely manner and in compliance with state and federal regulations for home care through scheduling of patients at time of intake and throughout the certification period in compliance with physician orders
Assist the management and clinicians to assure home care services including supervisory visits are scheduled and delivered in compliance with state and federal regulations through ongoing audit by monitoring of key reports and scheduling authorizations for on-going visits
Assure high quality customer service to all internal and external customers primarily through telephone communication by answering phone calls from patients and other healthcare system representatives to coordinate with office and field clinicians
Assist management to ensure compliance with Human Resource requirements mandated by state and federal regulations
Assist management to assure compliance and consistency with agency
Other responsibilities as assigned

Generates and maintains documents as requested by Management 60.0%
Maintains files for the agency. 10.0%
Assists other supervisors as directed by Administrator. 5.0%
Maintains record of Visit Change Forms. 5.0%
Assist Quality Assurance Nurse with Nursing In-services. 5.0%
Performs other duties as requested. 5.0%
Participates in self-evaluation and professional development. 5.0%
Adheres to General Performance Standards.
The Clinical/Clerical Assistant must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with thorough knowledge of agency functions. As the representative of the agency, the Clinical/Clerical Assistant must present a professional attitude and appearance at all times with the ability to work effectively with all types of individuals, while maintaining strict confidentiality of client and agency information.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma required
Certificate from a secretarial school or Associate /Bachelor degree preferred
Computer skills and word processing ability required
Demonstrated ability to assist leadership personnel
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Health care background with administrative assistant experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $30,000.00 to $40,000.00 /year
