Hotel Sales Coordinator Job Opening in Colorado Springs, Colorado - We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated individual to take charge of sales activity, including but not limited to groups, sports & social group business, local negotiated accounts and corporate accounts.
This position would support both the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Colorado Springs Garden of the Gods and the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Denver SW / Littleton.

Essential Sales Coordinator Job Functions:
Proactively prospects new group and corporate business through multiple channels including, but not limited to inbound leads, in-house guests, internet research, and local networking events.
Coordination of all group business as contracted by the sales department. Determine and coordinate all needs of the customer.
Responsible for effectively communicating with the various departments to ensure that groups are executed to exceed the group?s expectations.
Develops strong customer relationships through appropriate client communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction.
Work with Area Director of Sales to achieve required sales team goals.
Have current knowledge of hotel rates, strategies, discounts and promotions.
Assist with completing any required sales reports.
Maintains highest level of integrity and professionalism.
Display a neat, clean and professional appearance at all times.
Conducts scheduled and walk-in property tours.
Process reservations, confirmations, cancellations, special handling alerts, and amenities for incoming groups and corporate clients.
Assist in billing inquiries and credit card authorization for groups and communicate appropriately to Assistant General Manager.
Completes daily checklist and maintains open communication with Area Director of Sales of assigned duties and tasks.
Attend occasional networking events, bridal shows, and appointments outside normal business hours.
Above functions are assigned for above location and additional sister property.
Knowledge/Skills:
Remarkable customer service skills.
Exceptional oral and written communication.
Excellent organizational processing.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strategic and detail oriented.

Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years of prior hotel experience desirable.
Marriott experience preferred, but not required.
