Outbound Sales - Transportation Job Opening in Cedar Rapids, Iowa - TrueNorth, an Insurance and Financial Strategies firm headquartered in downtown Cedar Rapids, has a current opportunity for a Contractor Risk Advisor II** supporting our TrueChoices team within Transportation. The Contractor Risk Advisor II's primary responsibility is to handle inbound and/or outbound calls from/to individual owner operators and other eligible purchasers, regarding the sale and service of voluntary benefits.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: **
Place outbound calls to individuals from supplied call lists.
Consult callers on voluntary benefit products available to them and cross sell other products available as members of the Truckers Service Association, where applicable.
Take current customer questions on purchased voluntary benefit programs and elevate questions to appropriate parties when needed.
Answer phones in a professional and timely manner to ensure customers are serviced appropriately.
Maintain a positive attitude, even when dealing with difficult customers
Maintain quality customers service with clients on a daily basis by providing consistent, timely, and accurate service
Process applications over the phone, record calls, and enter applicant information into participation managements systems.
Process changes and cancellations in enrollments.
Complete paperwork associated with clients on a timely basis as established by agency standards.
Maintain and follow written procedures; complete all procedures as outlined on the "TrueChoices Processes - Index"
Assist in the execution of marketing material to available applicants.
Education & Experience: **
High School diploma or equivalent required
College degree or equivalent combination of training and work experience preferred
Prior sales experience preferred
Life & Health insurance licensing required within 90 days of employment
Must also have experience in Microsoft Office. Specifically intermediate Word skills, and basic Excel and PowerPoint skills.
