What You Will Be Doing:
You will be executing the design of temperature control systems. You will be working with other team engineers in completing drawings and design packages while cross checking design details in electrical power, control panels, relay logic, wiring and control devices in association with HVAC, access, lighting and CCTV systems. You will also be demonstrating the ability to accept responsibility and put into practical skills, leadership, and judgment from previous experiences.
In addition the position may support software engineering and systems networking including programming, systems networks and communications.
Primary Job Duties:
Produce system layouts and controls design based upon construction documents
Produce accurate CAD drafting of work designed
Generation of Design Submittals, As-Builts and O&M packages
Obtain cut sheets, coordinate submittal process and O/M assembly
Ensure design complies with contract drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy.
Choose the correct devices for the correct applications while remaining within the specification.
Produce custom graphic packages for interface into the building automation system
Technical Skills and Education:
Two or Four year degree in engineering, engineering technologies or related field
At least Five years? experience in designing control systems for commercial HVAC applications
Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical and architectural construction documents.
Experience with computer aided design software, Visio experience preferred
