Position Overview:
In this high-profile role on the Healthcare Economics team, you will apply your experience in healthcare claims data and SAS or SQL to measure the financial value that the Landmark Health program brings to our customers and their members. This role is instrumental in helping Landmark provide quality patient care to all patient members.
What you'll be doing:
Extract, analyze, and interpret healthcare utilization, claims, coding and financial data to address business questions regarding population health management, health and economic outcomes, quality of healthcare, and product design.
Develop new SAS- and SQL-based processes to report on healthcare utilization trends.
Work with clinical and finance teams to understand and evaluate the drivers of quality, engagement, and utilization in our membership cohort.
Track issues with reports, including defects in logic, data quality problems, and process errors.
Develop tools for monitoring data quality and work with data warehouse team to assist in development of corrective action plans.
Assist with analytics for new business development projects.
What we're looking for :
A Bachelor?s degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, epidemiology or other related field. A Master?s degree is a plus.
Minimum 2+ years of experience programming in SAS and/or SQL in an academic or professional environment.
Minimum 2 years of experience using Tableau is required.
Experience using statistical methods or modeling to evaluate healthcare claims, coding data is a plus.
Experience using statistical methods to evaluate data in business applications is a plus.
Strong organizational, analytical, multi-tasking, documentation, presentation, and problem solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form to a widely diverse audience.
Ability to identify relationships in data sets, determine key fields, and present findings unassisted.
Bonus Points Awarded for:
Biostatistics, Health Care Statistics or Actuary background is a plus but Not required.
Strong data analysis and statistical programming experience is a plus but Not required.
Financial or Economic statistics / data business application experience is a plus but Not required.
