Healthcare Benefits Eligibility Coordinator (Portland, OR) Job Opening in Portland, Oregon - Growing Third Party Administrator is seeking a Healthcare Benefits Eligibility Coordinator in our Portland, Oregon location. Responsible for delivering a wide range of services to Health Plan accounts including, but not limited to: overall customer service, leading annual client renewal process, enrollment and eligibility services, COBRA/HIPAA and other compliance, leading new client implementations, general plan design services based on utilization and market data, service and support of appropriate vendor and business partner relationships (such as prescription provider, attorneys, consultants, etc.).
Provide plan document services, monthly analysis and reporting of client?s plan performance, ongoing troubleshooting and problem solving for the client, and client relationship building.
Performs advanced and complex, clerical duties requiring the use of independent judgment, analysis and detailed knowledge of company and/or department procedures related to work performed. Functions in a call center environment. Also carry out and initiate additional tasks as needed for continual improvement of the department and the products and services that are delivered to our clients. Additional duties as assigned.
Proven skills regarding:
Overall customer service;
Good basic math skills including ability to calculate benefits;
Knowledge and application of benefit plan rules and providing eligibility and enrollment services (Taft-Hartley experience is a plus);
General working knowledge of various industry vendors, their role in the group health administration process, and ability to apply and facilitate these vendors to the group plan(s);
Experience at intermediate level using MS Office Suite including Word, Outlook and Excel;
Keyboarding (demonstrated ability to type quickly and accurately);
Creating, improving and using administrative systems and procedural checklists;
Detail oriented, fast paced, flexible, team player;
Required Qualifications:
2-4 years experience in employee benefit plan administration.
Proficient use of MS Word and Excel for Windows.
