SALES ENGINEER (B2B SECURITY EQUIPMENT) Job Opening in OAKLAND, California - This position manages all aspects of physical security system solution services. This position will work with customers to define their requirements, introduce specific technologies which meet those requirements, qualify and design proposed solutions, create proposals and statements of work specific to the solutions to be offered. This high visibility position is part of a large national technical team focused on Integrated Guarding Solutions. The Sales Engineer will work closely with the local Area Vice Presidents, Branch Managers and Business Development Managers to identify existing and new client sales opportunities. The position will require knowledge and experience with physical security systems.

1. Assesses, consults and designs Physical Security Systems with/for prospects, clients, vendors and colleagues.

2. Advances the use of security technology applications as a service solution that adds value for clients.

3. Identifies and manages relationships with integrators to prepare and successfully deliver solutions.

4. Maintains a positive, professional environment in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Acts to ensure that staff members understand and comply with applicable laws.

5. Collaborates with other departments to develop and implement product applications, marketing initiatives, and training.

6. This position will be focused primarily in Northern California; however, it may be necessary to travel to other offices or customer locations on an occasional basis. Some off hours work may be required.

Requirement:

-Extensive technical knowledge of physical security systems, including video surveillance and access control.

-Demonstrated skill and record of achievement in business to business sales and operational activities.

-Ability to pursue and achieve professional certifications.

-Excellent customer service orientation.

-Strong sales presentation, negotiation and leadership skills.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

-Bachelor's degree in a business related field and five years of successful and progressively responsible physical security systems experience, or an equivalent combination.

-Experience in outside sales in an industrial environment - 1-3 years

-At least 2 years of technical experience with security systems including design and architecture.

-At least 2 years of previous experience in a project management role with a Value Added Reseller (VAR) and/or a Technology Manufacturer in the Security Systems Industry

-Frequent sitting.

-Occasional walking, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.

-Work primarily performed in an office environment.
