Quality Control Manager Job Opening in Fort Stewart, Georgia - Under the direction of the Corporate Quality Control Manager and in collaboration with the Project Manager, the Quality Control Manager is responsible for proactively overseeing quality assurance and compliance functions, implementing and monitoring the company?s Quality Management System, adhering to quality guidelines, and providing work direction and leadership to inspectors. The ideal candidate will have some working experience with government contract, generating business results, implementing safety regulations and standards, and working with a diverse workgroup, such as veterans and people with disabilities.
Manage and Maintain the QMS IAW Corporate Quality Directives
Conduct and document process and system inspections and/or audits using written procedures as audit standards to validate adherence to all contractual, corporate, legal and/or statutory requirements.
Measure, monitor and analyze the processes and implemented actions necessary to meet goals and drive continual improvement.
When conducting audits and inspections utilize a defined sampling methodology (i.e. ANSI Z1.4 Standard)
Provide quality data as required to support management review efforts at both the site and Corporate levels.
Collaborate with the EHK in coordinating with customers and Corporate to validate contractual and applicable Corporate and/or procedural requirements are fully implemented and sustained in a consistent manner throughout operations.
Collaborate with the EHK to validate that deliverables are performed to an acceptable quality level.
Follow the site specific Quality Control Plan (QCP) and supporting processes in carrying out duties and responsibilities.
Conduct and/or facilitate discussions with Operations to determine root causes to nonconformities or process improvements
Validate corrective actions implemented by operations for critical/major and minor nonconformities through inspection, validating that actions are effective, implemented in a timely manner, and are permanent in nature to avoid recurrence of deficiencies.
When applicable, provide to personnel who report directly to the QCM (e.g., inspectors, etc.).
When applicable, provide onsite employee training to improve the quality of service and validate continuous improvement of processes and customer satisfaction.
Comply with the site safety program, and where designated as part of his or her role, conduct monthly safety meetings, required safety training, and hazard
Receives, reports, and where designated as being responsible for the site safety program, investigates all employee work related accidents and incidents. Investigation includes the determination of the root cause and any associated preventive or corrective actions.
When applicable, responsibilities also include environmental compliance in accordance with the site contract. These duties include but are not limited to developing, analyzing and monitoring the site environmental program. Conduct environmental site assessments, facility inspections and hazardous waste control in accordance with state, federal and regulatory environmental requirements.
While validating the activities called for by the site-specific QCP are given priority (taken care of first), provide additional operational support, as directed by the EHK, while validating all of the responsibilities listed within this job description are fulfilled as outlined. This may include duties outside what may be seen as typical for this type of a role. Limit situations which may question objectivity, such as those in which the QCM would end up assessing his or her own work.
Report any instances of non-compliance with contractual or compliance issues to the EHK and work to resolve issues expeditiously. When it is believed the issue is either not being addressed or is not being resolved effectively by the EHK, Corporate Quality Management is to be notified.
Validate configuration control (Document Control) of all site specific PCSI documents to include Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, forms, etc.
Participation in the performance evaluation program required.

Requirements:
Minimum BS or equivalent work-related experience. (1-year experience = 1-year of college)
Two years in quality systems, with experience in quality systems implementation required.
Two years of experience managing or supervising employees, including coaching to develop skills and resolve conflicts.
Experience working in a healthcare environment desired.
Requires extensive auditor experience (ISO preferred).
Experience leading quality plan implementation with a focus on complying with the standards outlined in the contract or statement of work.
Experienced in root cause analysis, data analysis and action required.
Experience with safety regulations and standards a plus.
Government contract experience a plus.
Department of Defense (DoD) experience desired.
Ability to travel by air and vehicle up to 15%.
Possess valid driver?s license and maintain clean driving record.
Ability to pass criminal and motor vehicle background checks to obtain access to work locations. Restrictions vary from site to site.
