Senior Quality Specialist Job Opening in Milwaukee, Wisconsin - In this role, you are responsible for:
Development, monitoring, and leading the execution of overall Quality Control and Quality Assurance polices and procedures
Creation and implementation of a Quality Plan, and quality improvement activities
All compliance, performance data analysis, and reporting requirements and overseeing quality and regulatory initiatives
GENERAL DUTIES
Serves as liaison to Quality Support Services.
Oversight of data entry process and ensures accurate and complete info is consistently entered into required databases.
Provides education for staff on quality and regulatory requirements and on proper documentation.
Participates in evaluation of training and competency of staff.
Organizes and/or participates in research activities.
Periodically reviews department training files for completeness.
Maintains competence through attendance at mandatory and other job-related educational opportunities.
Actively participates in Lean and continuous improvement activities.
EDUCATION
Baccalaureate degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, scientific discipline, or Healthcare related discipline from an accredited college or university
EXPERIENCE
3 - 4 years experience in a technical or quality/regulatory support capacity for a regulated activity
Experience in quality assurance role
Experience in developing, coordinating and/or presenting educational programs that delivered technical content preferred
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate technical information to customers at all levels in the organization
Ability to work independently, prioritize, manage, and complete multiple tasks within strict designated deadlines * Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques
Ability to organize and analyze data and present/report information based on this data
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, as well as ability to learn and effectively use other computer software, as required
Familiarity with medical records and medical terminology
Working knowledge of current good practices and procedures; quality principles, theory and tools; as well as basic auditing principles preferred
Working knowledge of current federal, state, local regulations and standards Valid Wisconsin Driver?s License and access to a vehicle
