Operational Assistant Job Opening in Washington, District of columbia - Background:
Leading Global Technology Company supporting Capitol Hill looking for an administrative assistant to join our operations team. Looking for an ambitious recent graduate to start with a company who promotes within. Working directly with staff of Members of Congress, the entry level position has great potential for growth.
Duties:
Job functions include but are not limited to:
Monitor all office administrative functions and transactions; tracks status of projects, program operations, and other requests
Ability to work well independently, but function within a team environment.
Facilitating AP and AR billing and invoicing activities.
Maintain an efficient office environment, to include ordering supplies and arranging for repair of office equipment, assists in the oversight and accounting of inventory
Performs data input, data collection, and research; retrieves information or documents form databases and the Internet; maintains and updates databases or spreadsheets. Prepares and tracks various statistics
Research trends as it relates to Capitol Hill mission (social media, election tracking, etc)
Support the Program Manager & direct reports in monitoring team productivity and customer satisfaction
Required Candidate Skills:
College graduate with a BS degree
Strong familiarity with MS Office Skills, especially MS Excel
Demonstrated customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Proactive and attentive to detail
Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
Ability to pass background check to receive a Public Trust Clearance
Desired Candidate Skills:
Previous experience writing and maintaining office process documentation
Previous experience with billing or invoicing customers
Previous experience maintaining online databases with customer information
Demonstrated leadership & citizenship through auxiliary interests (volunteer opportunities, membership in philanthropic societies, etc.)
Place of Performance:
South West Washington, D.C. (accessible from the Blue, Orange, and Silver Metro-Rail Stations). No option for remote work.
Working Shift:
The candidate will be working a standard shift, 40 hours per week, Monday ? Friday, between the hours of 8am ? 5pm, specific work hours to be determined upon hire.
During 6 months leading up to and 6 month proceeding the congressional elections, the ideal candidate would have the ability and willingness to work extending hours to ensure delivery of project milestones

Salary: $38,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year
