Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Opening in Silver Spring, Maryland - Join our technology integration firm in Silver Spring, Maryland (soon to be in Rockville, Maryland)! We are looking for an experienced full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to round out our accounting team. The Accounts Receivable Specialist ensures proper billing and collections of all projects here at A.B.E. Networks. The job is crucial as our firm cannot be successful without proper accounting. This employee is expected to arrive at the office on-time every day at 9 am and conclude their day at 5pm.
The responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Specialist are:
Ensure proper billing and invoicing of clients based on project work orders
Meet with Project Managers weekly to stay on top of project billing details
Send receipts and statements
Contact and pursue clients for the purposes of collections
Report Accounts Receivable information to QuickBooks and an Excel Spreadsheet
Answer phone calls as a secondary phone receptionist
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Prior experience in accounts receivable and collections is preferred. On the job training, will be provided. Pay will be commensurate with experience and skills.
Skills Required:
Must be proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal communication (both on the phone and over email)
Wants to advance the position
